The app

A photo you scan is sent to Seek’s servers so the app can identify it. Recognition uses an AI vision provider on that server. It is not an on-device-only scan, and the photo is not guaranteed to be deleted immediately. Collections and inventory are stored on Seek’s servers with your device. Sign-in screens exist in the app code. The current app build does not include an ad network.

This website

seekidentify.com records that a page was opened, which section you reached, which page you left from, whether you tapped the App Store or Google Play, the site that sent you here, and the country of the connection. It stores a random id in your browser so repeat visits can be counted. It does not store your name, your precise location, or your IP address.

If you send the contact form, we keep the name, email, and message so we can reply. Those messages are visible only in the Seek admin.
